Founded in 1938 by Elmer Haines, the territory was covered from his home in Syracuse. His son, Jerry, joined the company in 1954 and became President in 1969. Jerry served as a charter member of NEMRA, incorporated Haines Sales, and is now Chairman. Eric Haines joined his father in 1986 and became
an outside salesman in 1992. In 1996, Eric became Vice President,
and President in 1998. Personal involvement and continued investment
benefit our select principals and customers.

Our dedicated and knowledgeable team has a combined 222 years experience in the electrical industry. We’re recipients of the NAED Eastern Region Top Performer Award, Electrical Wholesaling’s GEM Award, and CPMR Certification through the Manufacturers’ Representatives Educational Research Foundation (MRERF). Our sales people call on industrials, architects / engineers, contractors, and distributors as part of the ongoing effort to remain the #1 choice for marketing in Upstate New York. In 2005, Haines Sales moved to our modern offices equipped with the latest productivity enhancements includes: Windows XP, router-to-router VPN, broadband T1 grade connectivity, NEMRA, and CMD (from Reed Construction Data).
